Exploring how a wine history book and a newsletter became my lifeline.
Thanks Kevin for the shout out! Love your newsletters
Thanks Kathy. Right back at you!
Very interesting! OAN: You mentioned Vidovich Vineyards; I think a Vidovich built our home in a small development near Fremont Ave. and Sunnyvale-Saratoga Rd. in Sunnyvale. Is there a connection that you know of?
Yes! Vidovich has a real estate arm. In fact, they partnered with my family to build Gemello Village on the winery property.
Interesting. I thought he—the builder—owned the property before building on it. Could that be right?
Another wonderful email. Thanks for keeping me in the loop. Phil
Thanks Phil. Happy New Year!
How cool that you reconnected with your distant relatives in Italy through your newsletter, @Kevin Ferguson! And I like this:
"She’s now 103 and a half. (After 103, we resort to how children say their ages. That was my Uncle Mark’s suggestion over Christmas dinner.)"
😊 Looking forward to your 2025 stories and tips on healthy aging and longevity!
Thanks Karen! I so appreciate it. Happy New Year Karen! 🥂
Lovely story of all the connections that COVID brought. Thanks for the shoutout!
Thanks Alice!
Delightful post as usual. The story of your rediscovered relatives is lovely. And now I’ll check out your distant cousin’s tips! Thank you!
