My grandma was a new bride during the Great Depression and never threw away a Cool Whip container. We knew she had a shelf in the kitchen with neat stacks of them. We didn’t know there were decades of them in the basement. To this day, I have to fight demons to throw one away.
I love that she's a Chicago PD fan! Nothing like crushing the ageism assumption that elderly people drink prune juice, nap all day long, answer their TV remote when the phone rings (like MY mom who had dementia did), and live in nursing homes. GO GRANDMA KAY!
Haha! Napping all day? Not too long ago, I used to remind her she could sleep all she wanted, but she felt like she had to get up. She had things to do (But she didn't really have things to do). This was during the lockdown. She's a lot more flexible about taking naps now.
Hugs to Grandma Kay on the 26th of June
Another Happy Birthday to a very special
lady. Take care and stay well. Phil
Thanks Phil!
Ha!! My money’s on Grandma Kay to outlive TV Guide! Happy early Birthday to the fiesty young lady!
Ha! You may b on to something. 😊
Happy Birthday and Cheers to Grandma Kay!
Thanks Robin!
AND...I bet it was THE WINE that contributed to her longevity! Gotta tell my husband this!
That's a funny little myth. Wife of a winemaker, who didn't really drink that much. Drank just enough to get the giggles.
“Under 15 sentences” lol. Huzzah to grandma Kay.
Too short? Just thought there should be a suggested limit so people don't feel pressure to keep going on. 😀
